Articulating Flipper/Arm Help
(1/1)
EngrBrah:
Hello everyone,
So im looking to understand how the Flipper arm works on these types of systems?
Any ideas/books/references/pictures that you guys can point me to that sort of explains the concept?
I just dont understand how they produce the track rotation for the main tracks AND arm rotation while allowing it to adjust all from the same point and what looks like probably the same motor?
Any help on that would be appreciated.

google concentric shaft
two motors
or one motor with transmission
or one motor with brake
or probably 5 other ways to do it

Possibly a servo
Just thinking
billhowl:
Total you need three motors, two will drive the tracks, another drive the flipper arm.
