Beginner here and need help with first project! tank based
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:05:30 PM »
hello there, I am 15 and have little experience with robotics. I am starting my first project and am using the tamiya track and wheelset (3) and the aduino as a microcontroller. I am looking for some helpful advice such as what kind of motors to use (ones that will give some speed preferably) I am also planning making it remote controlled so what kind of controller and what kind of method should I use? I have robotC as a programming software.  If you can think of anything else, big or small, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Hi,

Start reading here :)
Regards,
Søren

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
Engineering is based on numbers - not adjectives
