Dagu - Rover 5 (2 motors and 2 encoders)
« on: November 08, 2012, 04:40:00 AM »
Hi all,
I'm building a bluetooth controlled robot with dead reckoning. I'm using  Dagu - Rover 5  (2 motors and 2 encoders) as the base, but i wont be using the Arduino Kit as I will be building my own board. Can anyone  recommend a suitable PIC i could use that would work well with the bluetooth module(Bluesmirf HID) and encoders?

Any PIC that has got the serial capacity for BT and which satisfy whatever else you need should do, but stepping it up a bit will give you room for expansion.
Is it a particular model number you're after?

It may seem confusing to a beginner, but Microchips parametric search is very helpfull

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
Engineering is based on numbers - not adjectives
