Axon II Smoking... need help

I had everything on my axon set up correctly, including a servo on b5, a bat with a switch, and a vrbot on uart 2 and a 5v reg, all were connected correctly with ground wire on the outside pin.  However, when i turned it on, it started smoking and the robot in unresponsive.  The power light turns on.  Please help as this is very important for a project.
