Question about motor.

Hey everyone,

Looking for an electric motor which supplies approximately 1 horse power to run something. Any suggestions that anyone knows of?

There are literally thousands of such motors.
Do you have any other requirements to help narrow the field?
What is your power source? AC or DC? Stationary or mobile? Do you need encoders like a servo motor? Brushed or brushless?
What's more important: Cost? Weight? Efficiency?
