Vex and RoboRealm

I am trying to get RoboRealm to communicate with Vex and control a VEX robot's movement via the serial cable. Does anyone have experience on how to do this? I am trying to make the robot with the camera follow a line as an example for a class I'm TAing. The information on the site only talks about reading digital inputs from the vex controller but not commanding vex itself.
