The Balancing Act
« on: December 08, 2006, 08:40:29 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get a perfect non-magnetic cube, about an inch on each side, with a fair amount of equally distributed mass?

I want to use it with 6 piezoelectric transducers in order to make a 3 axis accelerometer and orientation sensor.  It will be the "equalibrium" of my android.

I'm checking it out right now.  It does look like a promising vender.

I'm starting to think that maybe dense rubber would be a good option because I can squeeze it in for a tight fit.

I just measured my transducers.  They're actually a little under 9/8" in diameter.  So that's the size I'm looking for - 9/8"
