If you move the fulcrum of the red bar up a little bit closer to the middle, you should be able to get a larger step.... if im not mistaken.... though im pretty sure you would lose I tiny bit of torque but nothing significant... I think
Google it. You'll find yourself reading actually science papers, as its fairly new stuff. If you draw up a FBD, I can help you with that too. Also read up the difference between static walking and dynamic walking.(this probably deserves a new thread)
