avoid linking to external images

I was going through a bunch of old posts for resorting, and noticed quite a few had dead external image links. This effectively makes these older posts useless . . .

If you want to post a pic, only do an externally linked image if you think the link is permanent.

Otherwise, attach the image using 'Additional Options...'

As a side note, images hosted on image hosting sites are not permanent, they will delete your pictures.
Images hosted on free websites are not permanent, you will forget about the site at some point and it will get deleted by inactivity.
Images hosted on blogs might be permanent, if you update your blog.
Images hosted on your paid hosting account might be permanent. Images hosted on your own box should be avoided unless that particular box works as a server.
