best microcontroller to start with

hey im new to robotics an electronic  both an was wondering what microcontroller you would suggest to use for a begginer. the stamp 2 module i what i awas thinking but i dont know if it would  best because i might need more pwr in the long run

There are lots of posts on this....

Otherwise for the short answer, most people seem to go with AVR or PIC. I like AVR.

              If you take my advice buy a PIC kit 2 with demo board, you will learn very quickly.
