Help creating circuit to rotate HS-311 servo to 0°

Hi everyone.  I am trying to modify an HS-311 servo for continuous rotation.  After checking this site's tutorial, I found it doesn't go into any depth onto how to build the circuit that will rotate your servo to 0°.  Yes, I've also checked these four forum posts.  Still, nothing explains how I build a circuit for said function.  Even after some time googling the topic I have had no luck.

I really have no experience in electronics, but I have/can obtain the necessary tools/materials to build an electronic circuit.

Would anyone be so kind as to list out the steps/materials I will need to build this?  Or can you point me to another tutorial that would address this?

you can either use a microcontroller to center it or use a circuit based off a 555 timer
