Ok... Thanks Webbot for the heads up!
I'm using XP SP3 and here it goes...
It's
System -> Hardware -> Device Handling -> Locate your disk and double click -> Go to policies -> There is an option on cache -> disable -> ok

Sorry if the path doesn't use the same words, I have a greek version of XP....

Unfortunately though that wasnt the issue that caused the corruption. It was my own retarded self >_<
