How do i identify a microcontroller
« on: January 09, 2009, 07:20:21 PM »
I just want to know how to tell a microcontroller from anything else? Also if it is possible to identify what brand or type it is? Thank You Very Much!

It doesn't matter what part you want to identify, get the numbers off it and type them into google.
The results will normally tell you.
As for manufacturer, some print their name/logo and some use a number, some chips i have used in the past didn't have anything for the manufacturers code, just a date code.
Physically a microcontroller doesn't look any different to a lot of other chips.

May i suggest in future changing the colour of your text, although I have 20/20 vision my wife does not and couldn't read your post. Black works for most, if you don't like black may i suggest a darker colour.
The question that drives me hazy:

Am I, or the others crazy?
