Looking for Robotics People from Greater Metro Detroit Area.
« on: January 26, 2009, 12:16:51 PM »
I'm brand spanking new to robotics and I would like to meet other local people that are into the hobby.  Before shelling out a bunch of money I'd like to see what other local roboticist have done so that I can learn from them and possibly duplicate their work.  If there are any local individuals or even better a local robotics club I could plug into please contact me.

I was a member of Lego Robotics Group of Ann Arbor until 2006. After I left they slowly stopped meeting, but if there is interest, Jona will be happy to revive the club activity. Their website is www.24tooth.com.

Another club I know of is YAAARC (Ypsilanti - Ann Arbour Area Robotic Club). They are building regular robots, not only Lego and they may be still active. Their website is www.yaaarc.org.
Check out the uBotino robot controller!
