« on: January 30, 2009, 11:35:07 PM »
I am needing help with setting up an easy to use C compiler for PIC's

I am using a PIC 16F877a

I've had a lot of trouble with setting up a C compiler for ease of use and now i got frustrated with ALL of em and i uninstalled them, i just want something simple and straight forward

Thanks :)

Where did you get stuck? You install MPLAB and then you install the C compiler. They both have installers.
Then you create an project in MPLAB and instruct it to use the required tool-chain.

Use CCSC, by far the best compiler for PIC 16 series.
