continuous 360-degree rotation servo modification

If i modify a servo by gluing the pot head when it's positioned at zero degrees, will my servo be able to rotate both clockwise and counter-clockwise?

Yes, the pothead doesn't move the servo, its only the gearset that moves the servo. The pothead is only there for measurement and feedback purposes. I haven't modified a servo in about a year, but I think theres something you gotta clip so the gears dont get caught up in the glued pothead

Most servos have a little bar on them that hits an end stop at each limit of their normal rotation. Youve gotta clip it off. Beware with cheap plastic ones as I clipped it and it snapped the entire cog in half. So if in doubt file, or Dremmel, it down.

The cog that sits on top of the pot head probably has a small rectangular indent that sits on the pot head to turn it. So you have to dremmel that out into a circular hole so that it doesn't rotate the pot head but just uses it as something to sit on.
