AVR Studio - setting External Dependencies?

I can't seem to get AVR Studio to let me set a Library Search Path or use Include Directories while Use External Makefile is selected.

Am I forced to define paths in the makefile if I use a makefile?

I swear I saw a post about this before, but can't seem to find it . . .



note to self, using makefile to define library:
