I have two servos : Speed (sec): 0.24, Torque (Kg.cm): 3.40
The unit is going to be about (3.5kg ... 7.7 pounds), and have to move @ walking pace (5.6km/h .... 3.5 mph).
I guess the servo's will do.
Regarding the brains, hehe, I saw the roboduino, and i will use that to start off with, but i would ultimately like to learn more nout MCU's, i really got hooked on robotics the past few days.
