Make a servo move according to ASCII pattern?
« on: June 03, 2009, 03:46:04 PM »
Hello,

I dont know much about programming apart from a few years ago when we were taught Q basic at school. So if anyone could help me out I'd much appreciate it because I'm having difficulty in explaining this and this is all unknown to me...

I hope this makes sense...

How do I make a servo move according to a specific pattern - literally an ASCII art pattern?  The servo needs to make one full rotation everytime it meets a specific character within the pattern. The servo will need to be connected to my PC directly.

Where do I start in terms of software needed or languages I need to learn?  Is it even possible?
