can speed controllers serve as a hbridge or motor controller

I'e seen that speed controllers appear to be rather much cheaper than motor controllers question is can they servethe same purpose?

Yes they can, but watch out for the amp ratings... an ESC may be rated for 60 amps, but those are for RC airplanes that have basically no load on them - make sure that for whatever motor you are using, that the stall current of the motor doesn't exceed the amp rating of the ESC.

They have..... and a lot of..... pushing air into high speeds is quite power demanding....
