I did Systems Engineering as an elective subject within my BEng(Electrical & Electronics). From what I see (and learnt), Sys Eng is a subset of Project Management. Its about managing the design of a system. As such, it is not a technical subject. Its more like designing a project on paper, and then give the paper to someone else who does the technical work.
On the other hand, Electrical Eng would of course, be very technical. But technical knowledge without good management is almost useless.
So I guess you should choose the one that will be of more benefit to what your career might be. If you want to do more management works, then probably do Sys Eng. If you want more technical stuff, do Elec Eng.
But I think System Engineers would be able to get a job easier than EE Engineers. There's so many EE Eng already, but not much Sys Eng. And large companies doing large projects would definitely need Sys Engs.
But this is my opinion, not a fact.
