SER LCD question

Hey guys, I got this LCD to use with my atmega328 which I have clocked at 16Mhz however the LCD's datasheet says it can run at 8Mhz. Is that a problem? Do they both need to run at the same clock speed or should it be fine?

nope, as long as your microcontroller can communicate over uart at 9600bps.

which i'm fairly sure the atmega328 can, so you should be fine.  I'd double check the datasheet for the atmega328 to make sure though.
