Hitec servo VS. Motor & H-bridge

Hi all,

      I got two metal geared Hitec servos from a friend of mine. I was gonna use them to drive my robot but I noticed that one would need to modify them for continuous rotation first. Being that these are metal gear servos with good torque I was wondering is it just as easy to follow the servo tutorial to convert them back to normal operation as I may wish to use them in say a robotic arm latter on. Basically if I mod them can I change them back is what I am asking here I was looking at the H-bridge and wouldn't mind building it but  If I can easily mod the servos back I will just use them and save some time.

it depends on how the servos are built... some need clipping of a tab which is irreversible, others just need a pin pulled out which an be replaced later...

The clipping of the tab or pulling of the pin does not affect the servo in normal operation, it will work with it or without it just perfectly.

The problem is the cutting/gluing/removing of the potentiometer, after that is done it is pretty much impossible to return to normal conditions.
