Internet Controlled Robot "Final Year Project"

Hi I am Farah,

I am a Web Design student at the University of the West of England.

I am required to build an Internet Controlled Robot for my Final Year Project at University, I have no knowledge on Electronics and Robotics, therefore have no Idea where to start. Can anyone please suggest some literature, books and articles that can get me started.  Suggestions to online material would also be good, but because this is also a research project Books and Articles are essential.

any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
