Programming languages
« on: October 15, 2009, 07:59:21 AM »
I'm having trouble understanding what kind of language to use, my friend and I can build the hardware but we don't know what kind of language to use. Another friend of mine said we should use LISP. Is this a good idea? I'm not sure what kind of chip to use nor of any differences between different chips.

Depends on your hardware ;)
The most common languages used around here are C, BASIC and PIC.
So, what chip are you looking to program?

if you can try to go with C because everything Admin writes is in C and if you ever want to use code from SoR it would be useful to not have to rewrite it.
