RIP old equipment (post your own too)
« on: November 13, 2009, 08:49:33 AM »
so recently my favorite weller station burnt out  after surviving since the 60s at a college and making it's way to me. after dissasembling it i can't see what's wrong it but it's been having heating issues for a while and i've even replaced the stick to no avail. now i have to stick with my old shack stick or get myself a nice new one. RIP weller soldering station. any one else have their favorite equipment die?

Hi,

[...] after dissasembling it i can't see what's wrong it but it's been having heating issues for a while and i've even replaced the stick to no avail.
If it's a WTCP50, then clean the thermo switch.

Søren

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
