Title: $50 robot - avr programmer
Post by: Mechanik on January 17, 2012, 12:27:43 AM
Hi all,

Just looking at ordering a programmer for my yet-to-be-built $50 robot.

I wish to know, due to shipping costs, would this AVR programmer work just as well?
(aim to purchase this from same site as the servos)

http://www.robotshop.com/world/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Cyt-95&lang=en-US (http://www.robotshop.com/world/productinfo.aspx?pc=RB-Cyt-95&lang=en-US)

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, though wish to know before purchasing. I've already
purchased the AVR microchip stated in the parts list.

Advice much appreciated  :)
Mechanik.

Hi,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, though wish to know before purchasing.
Don't apologize beforehand, just spend the few minutes it takes to find out which is the right place (= Miscellaneous) and post it there!

When you apologize beforehand, you know you didn't spend the time to at least try to conform with the grouped divisions and likely weren't supposed to post it here and by that, you indirectly say "I give a damn about the forum, just give me the info I want and sod it if I screw it up for everyone else, existing and future users".

Do you ask for milk at the Butcher as well?

This is an increasing issue and you just were the lucky one to get this outburst, but you have to share it with a good number of other newb's - don't take it too hard, just learn from it - at least if you want helpful responses :)
