The guy on the right gave a talk about the bot (Sarcos humanoid) he had worked on while in Japan about four years ago in a class I was in at CMU.

"They were doing something about vision and learning, the air hockey was the toy problem. The robot didn't have a model of its dynamics or kinematics, and had to learn them by trying over and over; it built an internal model through machine learning."
