Title: Robot Demo Video from Rocky Mountain BEST Competition
Post by: dfodel on January 14, 2015, 03:00:20 PM
We built a demo that captures the image of a persons face using Open CV face detection, then creates a contour map, and sends it to the FANUC robot. The robot then draws the persons portrait... takes about 3 minutes or so to go from start to finish. The image capture and control are all done from an iPad using Mira and Max/MSP. This is just a quick video from a public demo we did at the Rocky Mountain BEST Robotics Competition for Middle School students on the Auraria Campus in Denver in October of 2014.

That's amazing! And, middle school kids. I thought our high school kids were amazing doing a competition battle robot. This is something useful with real-world application. Nice job.
