this leaves one problem ...the last 4 wires .. that are shown in the last two pictures of the tutorial .. i cannot make where they come from !.. can someone explain it please ? .. is there any pictures from the ones who built this robot ?
thank u  :D:D

I think you are taking about the four red wires in the last two photos of the tutorial.
Two of the wires are connected to Vcc(red wire of the battery clip). The other two are connected to the 1K resistor. More information about the wires is given in the electronics section of the tutorial.

could someone tell me how i make it obstical avoider!

Using photoresistors it can only avoid shadows cast by objects. The method is explained in the last section of my tutorial.
I'm currently upgrading the sensors from photoresistors to IR sensors. This will enable the robot to do better obstacle avoiding. I'm also planning to use the IR sensors to do wall following and edge avoiding. After the upgrade the robot can do line following, obstacle avoiding, wall following , edge avoiding and can also can be used as a photovore and photophobe.

I guess you will have to wait for some time, until I post a tutorial about the upgrade, if you want the robot to avoid l obstacles and not their shadows.

i guess ill play the waiting game lol naa ive got some old stuff i can play around with. be sure to send me a e-mail when its done ;)
add on: i think i basicly understand how it works with the shadow thing. thanks. i might try to make a tut on a robot if i have to much spare time on my hands (very unlikely i've got exams on right now) and i work most weekends. where does all my time go! ::)

"Solder the remaining two wires to the red wire of the battery cap.
With this the circuit board is complete. The graphical soldering and wiring diagram is given below."

excuse my inpatients , i rushed it and missed a few lines in the tutorial ! ..

so the last two input wires come from Vcc direct ...in the pictures those two have two more coming out of the same spot ?.. or looks like its going to the capacitor and the other looks like its going under from the side?

i am looking forward to ur upgrade .. :D:D
thank you for your fast replay .. did rose get to finish his/her robot ?

well there is 4 !!! now i got u all confused .. in the last 2 pictures u can see them clearly ..

"Solder two of these wires to the 1K resistors. From these wires we will get high or low inputs from the sensors to drive the motor

Solder the remaining two wires to the red wire of the battery cap.
With this the circuit board is complete. The graphical soldering and wiring diagram is given below. "

going to get 4 new blue LED's .. hope all turns out well :(
thank you all for your help .. see u soon:D:D

.
You can switch to the circuit given in one of my previous replies to this post. It uses a transistor to drive the motor instead of a L293D. So you don't need any motor driver to control your motor.

I'm done connecting all the wires and it is assembled already, so if i will use the transistors, will I need to go back from the start? Cause its all done n the only thing i must do is overlay the L293D to the 16 DIP socket

No, there is no need for you to redo the circuit board. Just solder the transistors to the board and connect the motor as shown in the circuit(which is given in my previous post). Do not forget to add diodes across the transistor, this will prevent unwanted power spikes from reaching the circuit.

regular diodes  NOT zener diodes

get one for every transistor ,

but remember the circuit will work without the diodes, they just provide protection

I never actually calculated the cost yet

All together for parts only ... I'd estimate less than 150 bucks

r/c car for racing - just buy a kit ! :D

Baja king Buggy Kit: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0161p?&I=LZ0436**

I was going to make this but then I decided not to.

Quote
REQUIRES:
Assembly
2-Channel Radio
2 standard size servos
6 cell 7.2V battery pack & charger
Polycarbonate Paint (Tamiya) (have to get this)
CA glue and building tools (and this too)
Things I crossed out are included (don't know why they put that in the required section  :-\ )

For the paint, get the colors you want your car to be, and CA glue, and building tools like these:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0006p?&T=3&I=TAMC0832

On that site don't get the charger. And you probably have the screwdrivers and some snips. Just check off everything you have, and get the stuff you don't.

Hope that helps.
