Ok funny story time. If you are careful and use spray paint or a paint gun with a good stencil on thin metal. You get a good look if done right. My friend and I did this on a project we did a while back. We wanted to keep the amazing paint job he did using tape a spraying several layers onto the sheet. Then we laminated it. We took it to Doug at Kinkos. Doug only works the late shifts at our kinkos and he would laminate anything for us
We went back a few days later with another sheet and asked the day crew to laminate it but they wouldn't even try. So we waited till everyone left and talked to doug again
Anyway spray paint and laminate work great for home made signs or fancy scaled down elevator designs for engineering competitions.
