  hi folks how do i implement a artificial intelligence into my robot, what hardware will i require? by artificial intelligence i mean that the robot should be able to manouver itself on its own.

You will need a microcontroller. (the brain of your robot)
Battery's, rechargeable (NiMH are the best)

try going through all SOR tutorials they are all very well written

I use Parallax, its a bit of an investment, mentally and wallet wise, but worth it in the end.
