Title: recommendation for small wireless camera in noisy environments?
Post by: Admin on July 02, 2009, 08:27:18 PM
I'm working on a robot that will need a small lightweight wireless camera on it.

It will need to function in an environment heavy with 2.4GHz wireless noise. Range of ~30-40 feet needed only. A camera that doesn't operate at 2.4GHz ideal!

Anyone with recommendations?

edit, to clarify small, I mean like under 40g, less than 2" cubed. Smaller/lighter the better. Quality can be so-so.

They offer those cheap cameras in 1.2ghz form also. To hook up to my computer I use a EasyCap system.

Does EasyCap work well for displaying realtime video? (not really interested in saving video, thats only a plus)

I asked around, and someone had told me to expect about a half second delay for 'real time' video with the EasyCap. I need something closer to a quarter second . . .
