That is not a i/o board its a programmer. I also read the microcontroller it comes with only can be written to 1000 times, 10,000+ is pretty standard. That part isn't as important though.

for an experimenters board that is pretty low on reprograms...
just, why is this in robot videos? it seems more suited to electronics...
