help needed on atmega 32!!!!!!

hi im planning to build a robot using Atmega32 for first time but im a bit confused and want to know
of what values of crystal & capacitors should i connect to its port xtal2 and xtal1

The crystal can be use up to 16MHz & capacitors should be 12 to 22 pF

Atmega32L - 8PU can run at a maximum frequency of 8Mhz while the Atmega 32 - 16PU can run at a maximum frequency of 16Mhz. For capacitor values refer datasheet.

If you are using one of the 'built in' frequencies then you can get away without using a crystal. The $50 robot does this with other ATmegas.
