Your usual first robot
« on: October 23, 2010, 12:17:16 PM »
Finally finished my scratch-built/junk bot(After 4 years!), only due to having to find the motors and parts. It's your usual line-following robot, partially designed by me, partially designed off of Sandwich from "Robot Building for Beginners". With a slelack finish!  8)

I've made several improvements to it:
  • Auto Adjusting Headlights via a PNP Transistor and CdS Photocell
  • Lighter, yet still capable Motors - 2x Maxon RE Max
  • High Amp Drive Transistors(8A) - Guess their overkill for two 400mA Motors, but had them lying around.
  • Noise Reduction Caps

Thanks

Thanks, the velocity of it was 0.21 m/s(0.69 ft/s). I wouldn't know a fast bot, since this is my first one.  8)
