My robots are now CAD viewable (no software needed)
« on: July 15, 2007, 02:24:47 PM »
First, check out some of my old robots:
http://www.societyofrobots.com/robot_sumo.shtml
http://www.societyofrobots.com/robot_mobot_2007.shtml
http://www.societyofrobots.com/robot_thai_boat.shtml

(scroll until you see the new CAD feature)

I will post all my new robots like this so you can view them in 3D and take measurements directly off of them.

For more info:
http://www.societyofrobots.com/cad_dwf.shtml

Enjoy!

ps - I havent fully tested this on various OS/broswers . . . let me know if you have problems. I also didnt test it on google sketchup, but included a link to tell you how to do it.

pps - Also, you can now upload .dwf files as attachments in this forum. If you want to share your CAD file, just upload it!

Feel free to upload your robot dwf's to this post! :)

Why can't I open the Stampy Cad files in Auto Cad? They have an odd file extension. Down loaded the others , but could not find a height dimenion for the frame. Thanks for the great site.
