Hi Guys, Newbie here and looking to gain some knowledge from some smart cookies on here if you allow me.
I recently received my Apple Macbook pro back from a supposedly reputable Apple authorised repair centre. They informed me they had replaced the Logic Board with a new one
under the extended warranty scheme.
I received it back today and the screen just had a kaleidescope of colours and no log on screen.
I opened the bottom casing to reveal the logic board and found a piece of polystyrene foam approximately 4mm in length just laying near one of the boards chip.
Is it possible that upon turning this laptop on the polystyrene piece has caused the board to malfunction due to it causing a Negative electrical charge?
I took a photo of the offending piece if anyone would like to view?
I would sincerely appreciate some info on this matter.
Thank you for reading.
