I am Eletronics & instrumentation(2nd year) Engineer and i need to start to build robot , so i need the principles to do it if any one can give me any books or positions to learn it , with thanks .

Since you are an electrical engineer, your weakness will be mechanical aspects of the robot. Take a machine shop course and an intro to mechE class! :P

I'm no expert, but I think you should probably start with a really basic design, a differential drive, you could even do on a miniature (or full) scale, what I am currentlt thinking, that would be having a 'single' wheel as the robot. Think about a bit!
