Title: Help needed-4 Pin RGB Cathode LED
Post by: ToyhackRobotics on June 22, 2017, 09:29:55 PM
Hi everyone, i've been building my humanoid robot for a short while now, and at the moment i'm having a very hard time trying to successfully have 2 of them work in sync for they are the eyes for my robot.

I have 3 digital out pins on my robots brain, so i thought the 4th pin remaining would need to go to a ground source?

When i tried this i never had the color sequence happen with the 4 pin cathode led, with a simple 2 pin cathode rgb led they work great, but has been impossible to get them to sync.

On my rgb led's i have red, green and blue.

I'm using the ez-robot ezb4.

I'm not good with electronics, ive looked at google images and have trouble making sense of them, i can wire up simple things, etc but have never done rgb led's before, and this is my first robot so also new to robotics and programming...and currently using Blockly for my project.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

If I had an RGB LED I'd start with this circuit.
