AVRISP Mk. II programing problem.
« on: November 20, 2009, 08:43:14 PM »
Okay, so I am relatively new to this.  I have an Windows XP system, and I have had problems getting the ISPMk II to program an Axon board.   I am using AVR Studio 4.  When I did the install, I installed the USB Driver like it wanted.  Can anyone find any problems that I am doing and help myself out with this programming problem?

I am sorry if someone already has posted this problem on the forums, but I couldn't find it.

What errors are you getting? What colors are the two LEDs on the programmer?

Okay, so when I plug it in, I see just one light on the robot side.  The light is red when it is not plugged in to the board, and green when it is.  I see no light on the USB end of the programmer, like there would be normally.  I tried connecting the programmer to a USB port, and let the netbook search for drivers on it's own, and I saw:
"There was a problem installing this hardware:
AVRISP mkII

An Error occurred during the installation of the device

A service installation section in this INF is invalid."

Any ideas what I can do?  I do really appreciate the help.
