stupiid idea or not?

is it a good idea to have and onboard h bridge on a microcontroller say maybe two for controlling two drive motors? This is mainly aimed for newb use so he can get it and dont have to worry about plugging the micro to an h-bridge(believe it or not for newbs it can be quite a task)

It depends on the microcontroller application  :) I know there is an arduino variant that has a motor driver built in.

yeah, there is an arduino with this... but the amount of people who want to just use dc motors instead of servos that come through here... i don't see a point in a board like that...
theres already many options for microcontrollers and lots for motor drivers.

I'll probably build me one for personal use thats two levels microcontroller on top and h-bridges on bottom or vice versa

basically yes... but i might try to wire all the inputs to the top level were the h-bridge would be... idk yet ive gotta get an h-bridge going thats efficient ive only built one before and it worked but it wasnt very good so im going to try to get a really good design

just get a simple dual full H-bridge, its easy as plugging inputs and outputs up with power and ground, like the L298
