Title: calculating torque from power

Hi,

I am using brushless motors specifically these ones:

together with a custom gearbox providing a 10:1 reduction. I want to know if I am calculating power correctly:
The motors are rated at 24A max continuous current and I am using an 11.1v lipoly batter i.e. power = 24*11.1 = 264 Watt

Also how do I calculate the torque the motor is generating from the information given on the motor specs?

AFAIK, You cannot calculate it from Voltage and Current. Motor has to have rated torque stated in the datasheet. Other than that, You can measure it by attaching known length arm to the motor and using motors rotation power to depress a scale, there You get stall torque of the motor.
