Title: Robot Arm for 3D scanner
Post by: Julian D. Powell on November 19, 2019, 08:21:57 AM
Hello fellow community members.

What do you think of my new project? I'm considering building a robotic arm for my Kinect (or for any affordable 3D sensor), something like this (https://www.artec3d.com/portable-3d-scanners/robotic-scan#overview), but much simpler and cheaper of course, with 4 or 6 degrees of freedom, compatible with Raspberry Pi. How real is this even as a DIY project? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have some experience with 3D printing and very little with Raspberry Pi projects.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Julian.
