5 axis CNC machines have 3 translational and 2 rotational axes.
I am looking for an open source project which i will create kinematic tree in it.
I know some opensource projects but they are too complex.

 :) Hello!
I have programming in CNC,  ALONG time ago, but may be able to help you.
Do you have a specific CNC machine in mind? Alot of opensource
projects may be written in Linux. Any information that you already have
may save some backtracking time, and focus my efforts on what you
have in mind.  ;)

 :) Hello!
If you have your own machine, I have seen in another forum, that they used their
microcontroller for their CNC machine; writing their own software. I think that is alot
of work, but maybe a direction that may be an option, or another search category.
processing......  :)

 8) Try this site.....  http://www.freebyte.com/cad/cadcam.htm
This has freeware titles like;
FreeMill, BobCAD, FeatureMill, CNCSimulator, Mach3, and LinuxCNC.  8)
I have a Smithy Lathe myself, and have not had the chance to modify it for
CNC capability. Good luck!   ;D ;D
