what software is used?
« on: October 17, 2008, 08:20:30 AM »
hey everyone! I'm new to the robotics area but i want to build my own robot. \

now I've tried microsoft robotics studio and found its not up to what i want. i have also tried cogmation... but it has limited information on how to do anything with it.

i just want to make a robot that i can controll with a xbox 360 controller. i cant seem to find anything or any documentation of any kind on that topic...

anyone have any ideas on how to program a 360 controller?

what programs does everyone here use to program their robots?

I use PIC microcontrollers with the CCS C compiler.

Here is an example using a PS2 controller, it might help you get into the right ball park:

You must check this out, CommanderFluffy.

and the MEMBERS PM BOX to bug with your torrent of question is DarkBlueStar.  LOL...

I actually looked into what you are asking not to long ago for my BB, and found that there are many ways to make a "Robot*" run on XBOX 360 controller.  I though the XBee approach was the easiest but maybe not the least expensive.   :-\

* not really a robot if you control it via a 1:1 control.
