Title: iRobot Packbot can fly, gets stuck in tree
Post by: Admin on January 10, 2009, 11:57:14 PM
Not entirely sure how they are steering it . . . but I'd love to see the look on a terrorists face when this thing crashes through their high-rise apartment building window!

I spoke with the folks at iRobot about this video. They said steering was done by pulling on the chute cables.

looked like to me when it was in the tree it had tracks.... Good way to get on top of a building maybe even inside... if it could disconnect the shute too.... not as good as the flying grass hoppers I saw on tv the army ws developing...(they are really small and can keep jumpin and land up right every time and fly like 60-90 ft in the matterof two seconds
