i got a r/c tank but it didn't come with a remote. on the bottom it says that the fequency is 27 MHz is it possible to buy a crystal for this fequency
-
I would call up the place where you got it and have them recommend an appropriate remote... the frequency is one aspect, the number of channels is the other.
-
i got it from a second hand store but it was orginaly from radio shack and i know it has 3 channals. but i only need 2
-
Aren't there dozens of 27Mhz frequencies used by RC cars? All approximately 27, but different in the decimal places.
-
not sure

yes. but not exactly 27Mhz.. it runs like 27.XXXMHZ , it is so easy to find this crystal
-
is that a exact crystal or do i need to find the decimal places
-
You will need the decimal places.
-
how do i do that
-
ok thanks guys
i was looking at this reciver and transmitter but it says that to use it as a primary control you need a micro controller, WHAT DOES THAT MEEN?

I didn't really look at the page in much detail, but I think the Vex receiver outputs all 6 of the channels using a single line (e.g. the first pulse on the line would be for channel 1, the second pulse for channel 2, etc), which means you need to use a microcontroller to take that output and break it into six distinct channel outputs.
