choosing a remote control
« on: February 01, 2010, 04:52:18 PM »
I am just staring in this hobby and wanted to know a good remote. I am only going to make land robots and maybe some boats. I would like to be able to control at least six different things like motors and servos. My price range is around 150 and id like a couple of options and the pros and cons of each of the remote. Can any one help me?

Seen this yet? I recommend getting a digital remote. But for 'at least six different things', it means you'll need at least 6 channels, which can get kinda expensive.

And to buy a remote:

Personally I'm a bluetooth kinda guys . . .

You can control a heck of a lot more with your laptop, bluetooth, and a microcontroller:
