Does anyone have a link for it at digikey.com? When I did a search there all I got was some search box thing to narrow my search.

So instead of giving you a link I will try to explain how to narrow your search.

ATmega168 comes in 4 different packages (see the datasheet), so you need to specify which one you want. I assume you need the through-hole (DIP) package, so select this in the package box.
You will get a few results, most of them are out of stocks versions. The two stocked versions are two different frequencies (10MHz or 20MHz). Just get the 20MHz, it's the same price.

Always when searching Digi-Key for something that you want to purchase right away, it is best to check the "In Stock" box below the search criteria, it helps to really narrow down what you want to buy, not what is not in stock and what may take awhile on backorder or special order.

I made a mistake in my previous post: the 10MHz is not available. It's even easier than I thought.
A feature I'd love to see on Digi-Key or Mouser is a way to show only the items with a minimum order quantity of 1.
It would save a lot of time for hobbyists who don't want to order a reel of 3000 transistors...

The "Cut Tape (CT)" option in the "Packaging" column generally allows you to order one at time. They go based on what machine it will be fed into for placement and the like. Cut tape is for when a technician or technologist grabs and picks the items from a bin for hand placement of the components.

It also depends on the kind of component. For IC the packaging is often tube and in this case there is no "cut tube"

The package that most hobbyist tend towards is the 28 PDIP package, so if you're unsure about what a package means look at what the datasheet specifies it as and choose accordingly. You shouldn't stress too much about it, this is what you want (you probably found this one):http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=ATMEGA168-20PU-ND.

P.S. Look at the stock aswell, if it's high it is most likely what a lot of people are ordering.
